Я был так счастлив вчера,
Я тебя потерять не хотел.
Но напрасно, опять ты ушла,
И мир вокруг потускнел.

За окном еще полумгла,
Заметает дороги метель.
А сегодня рано с утра
Я один заправляю постель…

Stop the War in Iraq!

Hey, officials, stop the war in Iraq –
There’s no way out, it’s a cul-de-sac.
Thousands of victims, and there’ll be more.
Isn’t that enough for this useless war?
What have the officials on their mind? –
They’re seeking the ways to launder the money
Using the battle on the Iraqi soil.
Stop this needless fighting for oil!
Or is it our country’s purpose or creed? –
No, it’s just the government’s greed.
All the nation’s appeals are in vain,
Leading to the inland relational strain.

No doubt, US government lost this war
And it’s now not a battle any more.
Government seems to have no comprehension
That it caused perilous confessional tension.
It’s true that a simple bombing of Baghdad
Has turned into chilling and bloody jihad.
Or how else can terrorist acts be explained?
It’s painful to wait what city is next.
Fighting for oil stirred up the hornet’s nest:
It called up for struggle hundreds of Muslims obsessed
With the idea of the rightness of their belief.
It’s disgusting, it brings only destruction and grief.
Hey, Bush, fight alone your own war,
Americans want to go alongside no more!

Ты ушла, разрушив счастье,
Истерзав меня любовью.
И теперь горю от страсти,

Шрамы ноют на душе –
Нет в этом мире совершенства.
Не смогу вернуть уже
Я былые дни блаженства.
